As a subscriber of Powergate High Speed, you are given access to Newsgroups. Follow the quick reference to get started.

If you are new using newsgroups, access can be setup in your Outlook Express. Follow these steps to get setup.
1. Open your Outlook Express. Click on Tools, Accounts, and click the News Tab.
2. Click Add, and choose News.

| Enter your news server news.powergate.ca, and leave the box unchecked. | ![]() |
| Click Next and then Finish. You can confirm that the news account was successfully created by checking the News Tab. You should see your powergate account on that list. If it is, then you can continue by clicking Close on the Internet Accounts window. | |
| After completing the above steps, you will be prompted to download newsgroups for the new account. Choose Yes. | ![]() |
| This will populate a list of newsgroup you can browse through. I have decided to check out the Internet Software newsgroup by clicking on Go To or Subscribe. | ![]() |
